01 – Raw Material Collection

A raw material, also known as a feedstock, unprocessed material, or primary commodity, is a basic material that is used to produce goods, finished goods, energy, or intermediate materials that are feedstock for future finished products. As feedstock, the term connotes these materials are bottleneck assets and are required to produce other products.

erm raw material denotes materials in unprocessed or minimally processed states such as raw latex, crude oil, cotton, coal, raw biomass, iron ore, air, logs, and water. The term secondary raw material denotes waste material which has been recycled and injected back into use as productive material.

In a 2022 survey conducted by SAP, wherein 400 US-based leaders in logistics and supply chain were interviewed, 44% of respondents cited a lack of raw materials as a reason for their supply chain issues. Forecasting for 2023, 50% of respondents expect a reduced availability of raw materials in the US to drive supply chain disruptions.

02 – Raw Material Pre Processing

Analyzing data that has not been carefully screened for such problems can produce misleading results. Thus, the representation and quality of data is first and foremost before running any analysis. Often, data preprocessing is the most important phase of a machine learning project, especially in computational biology.

If there is much irrelevant and redundant information present or noisy and unreliable data, then knowledge discovery during the training phase is more difficult. Data preparation and filtering steps can take considerable amount of processing time. Examples of data preprocessing include cleaning, instance selection, normalization, one hot encoding, transformation, feature extraction and selection, etc

Data preprocessing may affect the way in which outcomes of the final data processing can be interpreted. This aspect should be carefully considered when interpretation of the results is a key point, such in the multivariate processing of chemical data.

03 – Extraction

Extraction in chemistry is a separation process consisting of the separation of a substance from a matrix. The distribution of a solute between two phases is an equilibrium condition described by partition theory. This is based on exactly how the analyte moves from the initial solvent into the extracting solvent. The term washing may also be used to refer to an extraction in which impurities are extracted from the solvent containing the desired compound.

Solid-liquid extractions at laboratory scales can use Soxhlet extractors. A solid sample containing the desired compound along with impurities is placed in the thimble. An extracting solvent is chosen in which the impurities are insoluble and the desired compound has at least limited solubility.

05 – Washing of Pith

coconut fibre, is a natural fibre extracted from the outer husk of coconut[1] and used in products such as floor mats, doormats, brushes, and mattresses. Coir is the fibrous material found between the hard, internal shell and the outer coat of a coconut.

White coir, harvested from unripe coconuts, is used for making finer brushes, string, rope and fishing nets. It has the advantage of not sinking, so can be used in long lengths in deep water without the added weight dragging down boats and buoys.

Coir must not be confused with coir pith, which is the powdery and spongy material resulting from the processing of the coir fibre. Coir fibre is locally named ‘coprah’ in some countries, adding to confusion.

06 – Drying of Pith

When wood is used as a construction material, whether as a structural support in a building or in woodworking objects, it will absorb or expel moisture until it is in equilibrium with its surroundings.

Moisture affects the burning process, with unburnt hydrocarbons going up the chimney. If a 50% wet log is burnt at high temperature, with good heat extraction from the exhaust gas leading to a 100 °C exhaust temperature, about 5% of the energy of the log is wasted through evaporating and heating the water vapour.

For some purposes, wood is not dried at all, and is used green. Often, wood must be in equilibrium with the air outside, as for construction wood, or the air indoors, as for wooden furniture.

07- Block Compression

The method of compression is strikingly similar to the previously published Color Cell Compression,[3] which is in turn an adaptation of Block Truncation Coding published in the late 1970s. Unlike some image compression algorithms (e.g. JPEG), S3TC’s fixed-rate data compression coupled with the single memory access.

The wide use of S3TC has led to a de facto requirement for OpenGL drivers to support it, but the patent-encumbered status of S3TC presented a major obstacle to open source implementations,[ while implementation approaches which tried to avoid the patented parts existed.

While S3 Graphics is no longer a competitor in the graphics accelerator market, license fees have been levied and collected for the use of S3TC technology until October 2017.

Quality control (QC) is a process by which entities review the quality of all factors involved in production. ISO 9000 defines quality control as “a part of quality management focused on fulfilling quality requirements”.

Elements such as controls, job management, defined and well managed processes, performance and integrity criteria, and identification of records.

Soft elements, such as personnel, integrity, confidence, organizational culture, motivation, team spirit, and quality relationships. Competence, such as knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.

10 – Logistics & Transport

transport logistic is the world´s biggest trade show for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management. It takes place every two years in early May, at the Messe München exhibition center in Munich. The organizer is Neue Messe München.
Integrated within the framework of transport logistic are also Air Cargo Europe, an international trade conference and exhibition for the air cargo business, and marilog, an international conference on maritime logistics. In 2019 transport logistic was held on around 125,000 m² of exhibition space. It attracted 64.000 visitors from 125 countries, and 2374 exhibiting companies from 63 countries.

In even-numbered years, transport logistic in Munich is supplemented by a sister event in Asia: transport logistic China. This show, covering the same themes as the Munich event and also organized by Messe München International, takes place in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai.
